Often, we’re so busy just surviving that we forget to think about our future. We forget to dream about what we genuinely want to create in our lives.
You can start by simply naming one thing or emotion you want in your future that’s different from what you already have now.
Being future-focused is a skill you need to practice, or you’ll get stuck in a rinse-and-repeat cycle of life – spinning with no forward momentum.
Focus on getting to know your future-self; the person who’s right where you want to be five or ten years from now.
What kind of work brings her joy? How does she behave? How fit is she? How much money does she have? How does she show up differently?
When you learn how to identify with your future, who you are starts to become who you want to be.
